The Chairman’s Reserve 1931 is an exclusive tribute to the founders of the St. Lucia distillery, celebrating the art of distillation and the attention to detail that has defined this house since 1931. This premium rum is a refined blend of selected distillates aged in a combination of American oak barrels, which previously held bourbon, and oak barrels that once contained whisky. The ages of the rums in this blend range between 6 and 12 years, offering a complexity of aromas and flavors that entices the most discerning palates.
Visually, the Chairman’s Reserve 1931 presents a dark amber color, rich and inviting. On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of molasses, vanilla, and honey, followed by notes of exotic fruit and spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon. On the palate, the rum reveals a full and balanced structure, with a velvety texture that carries flavors of caramel, dark chocolate, and a light trace of tobacco and leather, culminating in a long and persistent finish that leaves echoes of sweet spices and warm wood.
