The Altenberg Riesling Kabinett - Von Othegraven is a wine that captures the essence of the German winemaking tradition, produced by the historic Von Othegraven winery, located on the steep Moselle valley. This winery, renowned for its dedication to the quality and excellence of its Rieslings, benefits from vineyards located in optimal locations that enjoy a unique microclimate and particularly favorable soils for the cultivation of this variety.

The term "Kabinett" indicates a wine produced from grapes harvested at the first stage of ripeness, resulting in a wine that is slightly less sweet than an Auslese, but equally complex and multifaceted. Altenberg Riesling Kabinett are known for their freshness, elegance and balance, offering a perfect introduction to the range of Rieslings produced by Von Othegraven.

Visually it has a light yellow color with greenish reflections, a symbol of its youth and freshness. On the nose, the wine expresses a vibrant aromatic bouquet, with notes of white pulp fruit, such as green apple and peach, enriched with hints of citrus, spring flowers and a subtle minerality that reflects the expression of the Altenberg terroir.

In the mouth it demonstrates remarkable freshness and liveliness, with an impeccable balance between natural sweetness and sharp acidity. This structure allows the wine to offer a pleasantly light sip, with flavors that mirror the olfactory notes and conclude in a long and refreshing finish, with mineral accents and a light note of residual sweetness.

This Riesling Kabinett is extremely versatile at the table, pairing beautifully with a wide range of dishes, from light starters to fish and seafood dishes, to Asian cuisine and spicy dishes. Its freshness also makes it an excellent aperitif, capable of stimulating the appetite.
