The Negroamaro DOC Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva "Cantalupi" in 375ml format by Conti Zecca is a wine that embodies the essence and winemaking tradition of Salento, in the heart of Puglia. This wine is produced by Conti Zecca, a winery that boasts a long history of excellence and dedication in the production of wines that reflect the identity of the Apulian territory. Negroamaro, one of the most representative native vines of the region, is the basis of this Rosso Riserva, which is enriched by a careful selection of the grapes and a refinement process aimed at enhancing its complexity and structure.

The "Cantalupi" Riserva represents the pinnacle of Conti Zecca's Negroamaro production, expressing the peculiarities of this vine with strength and character. The refinement in oak barriques and the subsequent rest in the bottle allow the wine to develop a rich aromatic profile and a tasting complexity that make it a reference example for the Salice Salentino denomination.

By the glass, Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva "Cantalupi" has an intense and deep ruby red color, with garnet nuances that highlight its maturity. On the nose, the wine offers a complex and enveloping bouquet, with dominant notes of ripe red fruits, such as plums and cherries, enriched by spicy accents, vanilla and a light touch of tobacco and chocolate, the result of the elegant passage in wood.

In the mouth, the wine reveals a rich and enveloping structure, with soft and well-integrated tannins that support its elegance and persistence. The balance between acidity and body is excellent, with a palate that brings back the olfactory sensations of ripe fruit and spices, culminating in a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasant sensation of warmth and complexity.

Ideal in combination with robust dishes of traditional Apulian cuisine, such as grilled meat, roasts, game-based dishes and mature cheeses, the "Cantalupi" Riserva is also a wine that lends itself magnificently to solitary tasting, capable of offering an experience rich and satisfying.

In conclusion, the Negroamaro DOC Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva "Cantalupi" by Conti Zecca is an authentic and profound expression of the Negroamaro grape and the Salento area, offering a wine of great character and quality, which testifies to the winery's commitment to valorising of native varieties and in the production of wines that are a pure expression of their land of origin.
