Lisa Bunn Winery

In the German wine region of Rheinhessen, in the municipality of Nierstein, there is the Lisa Bunn wine cellar. Her great passion for viticulture led Lisa to graduate from Geisenheim in 2011, and to do various internships in some of the most renowned wineries, later becoming the main manager of the family winery. A couple of years later he took over the company from his parents Eva and Georg Bunn, the fourth generation.

Today Lisa Bunn and her husband Bastian Strebel, trained as an agricultural technician in Bad Kreuznach, are in charge of the family winery.
The estate extends over 21 hectares with the individual vineyards Orbel, Olberg and Hipping along the Rhine front, Fraugarten, Tafelstein and Himmelthal.
They are grown with white wine varieties: Riesling, Pinot bianco and grigio, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe and Silvaner. Those of red wine are: Dornfelder, Pinot nero, St. Laurent, Blauer Portugieser and Merlot.

To guarantee physiologically ripe and healthy grapes, they are mainly selected during the harvest, and partially vinified with a long maceration. After spontaneous fermentation and long storage on full lees, bottling takes place without filtration. Depending on the type of wine, aging can take place in stainless steel tanks, or in large wooden barrels, or in new or used barriques.
About 80,000 bottles of wine are produced every year
