Ronco del Gelso Winery

Ronco del Gelso is a young family-run winery from Friuli which, in a short time, has become one of the major realities of the Isonzo Doc. Like many other winemakers, Giorgio Badin, at the head of his father's winery, has personally experienced every agronomic and enological trend.

Two photovoltaic systems allow the total energy self-sufficiency of the cellar while, by collecting the shoots to be burned, autonomous heating is provided. The perfect location of the Ronco del Gelso vineyards keeps them in an ideal climate for the ripening of the grapes: in summer the sea breezes coming from the south cool the temperature, while in winter the mountains to the north shelter them from cold winds. This makes it a perfect place for the production of white wines with great structure, flavor and personality.

The climate and soil of the Isonzo give the wines an exceptional sweet aroma, a savory and fresh body, and a clear fruity note. Ronco del Gelso perfectly follows the characteristics of the grapes, always adopting minimally invasive agronomic techniques that respect the recognizability of the vine. In this way they create a special range of really exciting and high quality labels.
