Winery history Poderi Morini

Poderi Morini was founded in 1998 by Alessandro Morini; from the very first vintages the estate has aimed to showcase the native grape varieties of Romagna. In the early years labels such as the Sangiovese Riserva "Nonno Rico" and the passito "L’Innamorato" were introduced. The estate is family-run and collaborates with external specialists in the vineyard and cellar for grape selection and winemaking.

Production philosophy

The winery sees wine as an expression of the land: it regards the terroir as a "blank canvas" on which indigenous grape varieties can express themselves. It combines respect for local tradition with distinctive visual communication and collaborates with the Consorzio Tutela dei Vini di Romagna to promote the region’s wine identity.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards are located on the hills of Romagna, on soils associated with the "Spungone romagnolo", a sandstone–limestone formation that the winery identifies as a distinctive element of its terroir. Registered office: Viale Bologna 412, Villanova di Forlì.

Awards and recognitions

The winery reports mentions of awards for its wines and notes that founder Alessandro Morini was recognized as an ambassador of Romagna wine by the President of the Republic. For details, consult official sources.
