Winery history Bodegas Naia

Bodegas Naia was established as a project in La Seca to showcase the traditional clone of Verdejo. Since its inception the winery has focused on selecting the area's historic vineyards and on winemaking techniques aimed at preserving freshness and typicity.

Production philosophy

The winery aims to capture the fullest expression of traditional Verdejo: careful vineyard management, predominantly hand-harvested fruit, low-temperature fermentations and aging on the lees to produce varietal wines that are elegant and well-structured.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in the La Seca–Serrada–Rueda triangle, the vineyards are planted on calcareous-clayey soils with sandier topsoils and pebbles. The climate is continental, with marked diurnal temperature variation. Some of the cited vineyards reach elevations of around 750–800 metres.

Awards and recognitions
