Winery Castello di Buttrio

The Castello di Buttrio complex is a historic residence with documented records dating back to at least 1139. The estate was restored and revitalized in recent decades by the Felluga family. The estate’s modern vineyards stem from the acquisition and restoration efforts initiated by Marco Felluga and later carried forward by Alessandra Felluga, who took independent leadership in the 2000s, developing the vineyards and integrating hospitality.

The company declares a strong connection to the territory and to local grape varieties: the aim is to highlight the characteristics of each grape and the microclimate of the Colli Orientali through targeted viticultural and winemaking practices. In production, white wines are vinified in stainless steel and kept in contact with the yeasts for several months; reds undergo destemming, maceration and, in some cases, aging in wood, with selection for Reserve wines in favorable vintages.

Collina Pampinutta, Colli Orientali del Friuli. The estate and vineyards are situated on hilly slopes with good ventilation and exposure, typical of the Colli Orientali del Friuli appellation.
