Winery Château Plaisance

The estate is located in the heart of the Saint-Émilion appellation; the official website records the founding of Château Plaisance in 1881. The property passed into the management of the Egan family in 2005–2006, and since then the owners have renovated the cellars and modernized the vineyard while retaining traditional Bordeaux winemaking practices.

Combines Bordeaux tradition with contemporary techniques: careful vineyard work to express the terroir of Saint-Émilion, classic vinification with ageing in barrique, and a focus on sustainable agricultural practices.

Located in the Montagne/Saint-Émilion area, the vineyard is planted on clayey-siliceous soils and gentle slopes that promote sun exposure and the ripening of the grapes typical of the appellation.
