Winery history Collestefano

The Marchionni family is closely tied to the Collestefano area: their first property there was acquired in the late 1970s, and the estate was consolidated in the late 1990s with the planting of the first vineyards and the first bottled releases around 1998. The conversion to organic farming dates back to the 1990s.

Production philosophy

In pursuit of "pure" and sincere wines, with attention to vineyard health, straightforward winemaking and ethical working practices; the aim is to produce clean wines that express the terroir without oenological excesses.

Terroir and vineyards

Collestefano is located in the pre-Apennine hills of the Matelica area, near the Potenza River valley and at about 420 m above sea level; the soils are varied, alternating sand, silt and clay with a good presence of calcareous components, which together with the microclimate favor fresh, vertical wines.
