From a family estate in the Mâconnais, Denis Jeandeau worked in the area revitalizing traditional practices and began operating under his own name in the early 2000s; he is officially recorded under that name from 2006. Over the course of his career his white wines gained visibility on the wine lists of top restaurants and in specialist guides. Sources report his sudden death on 8 July 2023.
