Winery history Diario di Vaira

The Di Vaira family has been in Bolgheri since the 1950s; the current project is led by Dario, a winemaker who has carried on the family legacy. The first wine to be bottled was produced by his father, Pasqualino, and over the years the estate has developed several labels emblematic of the Bolgheri area.

Production philosophy

Winemaker's approach: a focus on the vineyard, artisanal care of the grapes and winemaking designed to highlight the characteristics of the vintage and each individual plot; a judicious use of aging to enhance identity and typicity.

Terroir and vineyards

Bolgheri: vineyards located close to the sea, with sandy soils and a pronounced maritime influence; a landscape of pinewoods and Mediterranean scrub that contributes to the character of the wines.
