Winery history Domaine Bordaxuria

The vineyards were planted by the Reca family in the 1980s, originally intended for the local cooperative. In 2014 the family's daughters, led by Elorri Reca together with Brice Robelet, began estate winemaking, bringing new life to the property and developing production and direct sales.

Production philosophy

The winery values manual work on steep terraced vineyards and respect for the soil. It follows practices for organic conversion and prioritizes attentive vineyard management focused on fruit quality to reflect the character of the terroir in the bottles.

Terroir and vineyards

Terraced vineyards on Mont Arradoy, on silt and red sandstone soils rich in iron and well-drained; mountain exposure in the Basque Pyrenees, near Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.
