Winery history Domaine l'Ancienne Cure

Family-run for generations, the estate has records of vineyards dating back to the mid-19th century; Christian Roche inherited part of the property in the 1980s and began winemaking on the estate at the end of the decade. In recent years the family has completed the conversion to organic farming and has consolidated the production and marketing of its cuvées.

Production philosophy

Production oriented toward respect for the soil and biodiversity: vineyards certified organic and an approach that prioritizes fruit quality. The estate also offers a line of natural wines without added sulfites, reflecting a commitment to low-intervention winemaking practices.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in the Périgord pourpre, south of Bergerac, the estate cultivates vineyards within the AOCs Bergerac, Côtes de Bergerac, Pécharmant and Monbazillac. The soils are varied and largely clay-limestone, typical of the area.

Awards and recognitions

Recognized by Revue du Vin de France, with repeated awards and distinctions in the Guide Hachette, mentions in Guide Bettane and other regional recognitions; also cited as "Vigneron de l'année" in the presentation material.
