Winery history Domaine Pellé

The estate is a historic family property in Morogues; Henry Pellé boosted the family's commercial profile, and the construction of a new cellar is recorded in the 1970s. Subsequent generations developed a parcel-by-parcel approach to vineyard management and established the estate as a benchmark for the Menetou‑Salon appellation.

Production philosophy

Work focused on respecting the terroir: low-impact agricultural practices, yield control and low-intervention winemaking using indigenous yeasts, varied maturation in stainless steel and wood, and lees contact for whites where applicable.

Terroir and vineyards

Morogues, in the heart of the Menetou‑Salon appellation. The vineyards are planted on Kimmeridgian soils of calcareous marl, silica and flint—the same types of soil that characterize the area between Menetou‑Salon and Sancerre.
