Winery history Domaine Serge Dagueneau et Filles

The domaine began as a family-run estate managed by the Dagueneau family; sources trace its origins to the founding by great-grandmother Léontine at the beginning of the 20th century. In recent years management has passed to Serge’s daughters, notably Valérie, who today leads the business and the winemaking featured in specialist guides.

Production philosophy

Production focused on quality and environmental stewardship: the domaine applies soil-conservation techniques and has obtained environmental certifications/recognitions, while some parcels are in conversion to organic practices and are experimenting with biodynamic approaches.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards are located on the hills between Pouilly-sur-Loire and Saint-Andelain, on calcareous/marl soils typical of the Pouilly area. The principal appellations are Pouilly-Fumé and Pouilly-sur-Loire; the family also farms parcels in the Côtes de la Charité, where it produces white, red and rosé wines.
