Winery history Emilien Feneuil

Emilien Feneuil is a young vigneron with vineyards around Sermiers. For years he sold his grapes to maisons such as Leclerc‑Briant; from the 2015 harvest he began vinifying and bottling under his own name. He initially used the cellars of fellow producers for the first vintages and, after 2020, equipped his winery with his own equipment, including a press purchased later.

Production philosophy

Work is carried out at low yields and with minimal intervention: organic cultivation, use of biodynamic practices, spontaneous fermentations in wood, few additions of sulphites and limited cellar interventions; many cuvées are vintage-dated and aim to express the terroir.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards located in the Petite Montagne de Reims, with parcels near the villages of Sermiers, Chamery and Écueil. The soils consist of layers of sand, marl, clay and soft limestone; exposures include east-, north- and west-facing aspects, and the area shows a noticeable soil salinity that is reflected in the wines.
