Winery history Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno

The Borgogno family has been present on the Cannubi hill since 1897; the estate has remained family-run for several generations and is distinguished by its commitment to preserving the area's traditional practices. In recent years, management has passed to members of the fifth generation, who continue to focus on the historic vineyards and traditional winemaking techniques.

Production philosophy

Careful vineyard work and limited intervention in the winery: hand-harvesting, fermentations that respect the vintage, use of large Slavonian oak casks and a systematic rejection of barriques to preserve the single-vineyard expression. The stated objective is to convey the terroir while maintaining authenticity and sustainability.

Terroir and vineyards

Estate and vineyards in the Cannubi cru; production and vineyards are also located in neighboring Langhe areas such as Barolo, Diano d'Alba and Novello. Calcareous-clayey soils with south- to southeast-facing exposures on the Nebbiolo hills.
