Winery Azienda Agricola Giarola

The Giarola family's land has been planted with vines since the early 20th century; many online sources cite 1923 as the year the family's agricultural activity began. Winemaking on a more organized scale was initiated by Umberto Giarola in the 1960s, and the estate subsequently modernized its vineyards and facilities while remaining family-run and expanding its international sales.

The winery declares an approach rooted in respect for the environment and a love of nature, implementing vineyard practices to improve quality and sustainability and investing in technology for winemaking and storage.

The winery is located in the hills of Palazzolo di Sona, in the immediate hinterland of Lake Garda. The soils are described as morainic of glacial origin, and the microclimate, moderated by the lake, is noted as a defining feature of the wines produced in the Bardolino and Custoza areas.
