Winery history Giovanna Madonia

The estate traces its origins to the family property acquired by grandfather Pietro after World War II. Since 1992 Giovanna has replanted and expanded the vineyards, developing production together with her daughter Miranda and maintaining a family-run operation.

Production philosophy

Artisanal production with careful attention to grape quality: limited use of sulfites, spontaneous fermentations, long macerations, and careful oversight of the entire process from vineyard to cellar. The company states it operates organically and is a member of the Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti.

Terroir and vineyards

The vineyards are located on the Montemaggio hills in Bertinoro, on calcareous soils called "spungone", at 200–350 m above sea level; proximity to the sea and diurnal temperature variations contribute to the freshness and salinity of the wines.

Awards and recognitions

Neblina awarded in the 'Albana Dèi 2024' selection.
