Winery history Giovanna Madonia

After World War II Giovanna’s grandfather Pietro bought the property; Giovanna replanted the vineyards in 1992. The estate is family‑run today (Giovanna and her four daughters).

Production philosophy

Respect for nature: organically oriented cultivation, preservation of native grape varieties and restoration of the traditional alberello (bush) training system.

Terroir and vineyards

Bertinoro (hilly area between the Tuscan‑Romagnol Apennines and the Po Valley), favourable exposure with Adriatic sea breezes; area known as the “Balcony of Romagna.”
