Winery history Grosjean

The Grosjean family, of Burgundian origin, has been in the Aosta Valley for centuries. Modern bottling activity dates back to grandfather Dauphin, who began presenting the first wines at regional exhibitions in the late 1960s. The estate has passed through several generations and gradually developed into one of the region’s best-known wine producers.

Production philosophy

Protecting the land and native grape varieties by practicing viticulture that respects the environment; in the cellar, low-intervention winemaking is favored, with spontaneous fermentations when possible, to faithfully express the Valdostan terroir.

Terroir and vineyards

Mountain vineyards in the Aosta Valley, cultivated on steep slopes and in historic crus such as Rovettaz and Tzeriat; production focused on the grape varieties typical of the Vallée d'Aoste and on local DOC appellations.

Awards and recognitions

According to the official website, the winery has received recent recognitions including Tre Bicchieri for the Petite Arvine in 2025, Tre Stelle Oro in the Guida Veronelli 2025 for the Chardonnay "Le Vin de Michel", WineHunter 2024 awards across multiple labels, and high scores in specialist guides.
