Winery history I Balzini

Founded as a winery by Vincenzo D'Isanto with the first vineyard planting in the 1980s, the family-run operation involved his wife Antonella and, in recent years, their daughter Diana. Over time the estate has expanded its range and has embarked on a path toward organic and sustainable practices, developed through the "Ritorno al Futuro" project.

Production philosophy

Production focused on elegance and respect for the land: wines crafted to express the unique characteristics of the 'balze' where the vineyards are grown; family-run management and attention to manual work in the vineyard.

Terroir and vineyards

Located in the Chianti hills, in Barberino Val d'Elsa. The soils are of Pliocene origin—sandy with layers of clay and containing marine fossils. The estate is described as covering approximately 10 hectares in total, about 7 of which are under vine.

Awards and recognitions

I Balzini wines are well regarded by international and Italian guides, receiving repeated scores and accolades for labels such as White Label and Black Label.
