Winery Il Costone

"Il Costone" is the name of a cru/label associated with Cantina Braschi, produced from grapes sourced in the Bertinoro area. The label is included in Cantina Braschi’s wine ranges, with the winery—based in Mercato Saraceno—overseeing winemaking and commercialization.

Showcasing the terroir and local varieties: Il Costone is made from Sangiovese vines grown on clay-limestone soils and Pliocene sands, with practices oriented toward organic viticulture and traditional ageing in Slavonian oak barrels.

Vineyard in the Bertinoro area, on soils known as "Spungone romagnolo" and calcareous clays, east‑southeast exposure, at an elevation of approximately 150–220 m a.s.l; climate influenced by Adriatic breezes.
