Winery history Domaine Jean Chartron

Founded in 1859 and managed by the same family for several generations, the domaine was established through the union of the Dupard and Chartron families. Throughout its history, family members have played active roles in the life of the commune of Puligny-Montrachet and have gradually expanded the domaine's presence in the finest climats of the Côte de Beaune.

Production philosophy

The approach is founded on respect for the land and traditional practices: careful soil work, precise vineyard management and meticulous winemaking in oak barrels. The stated goal is to enhance the expression of the terroir, with particular focus on the quality of white wines made from Chardonnay.

Terroir and vineyards

The domaine farms vineyards in Puligny-Montrachet and the neighboring communes of the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, with parcels classified as village, Premier Cru and Grand Cru. Among its holdings are documented monopoles, such as the Clos des Chevaliers, and parcels in Clos du Cailleret and Clos de la Pucelle.
