Winery history Klaus Lentsch

Klaus Lentsch, from a family of South Tyrolean winegrowers, began developing his own project by purchasing his first vineyard in 2008. In 2013 the winery moved to a new facility among the vineyards of St. Pauls/Eppan; the grapes come from vineyards in several microzones.

Production philosophy

Production closely linked to the land and quality: careful vineyard management, rigorous grape selection and the use of cellar technologies for gentle processing. The approach aims to express the identity of individual vineyards and to give the wines the necessary time to mature in the most suitable containers.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards are situated in three distinct areas of Alto Adige: the Eisacktal with a Mediterranean–alpine climate and porphyritic soils; the Überetsch with rolling hills and alluvial/morainic soils; and the Unterland on porphyry bedrock and fluvial deposits.

Awards and recognitions

The winery and its wines have received positive ratings and recognition in specialist wine magazines and guides; ratings for vintages and individual wines have been published in trade publications.
