Winery history Le Due Terre

The winery was established as a project by Flavio Basilicata and Silvana Forte in the 1980s in Prepotto, on the border with Slovenia. Since then it has remained family-run, developing a modest, recognized production noted for its attention to the local terroir. In recent years their daughter Cora has become involved in the family business.

Production philosophy

Artisanal viticulture and low‑intervention cellar practices are preferred: hand harvesting, spontaneous fermentations and extended aging aimed at highlighting the character of the soil and local varieties rather than invasive winemaking interventions.

Terroir and vineyards

Vineyards in the Prepotto area, in the Colli Orientali del Friuli. Sources describe the soils as marls and red soil; the estate is set in a hilly area on the border with Slovenia.
