Winery history Champagne Legrand-Latour

The estate has been a family presence for multiple generations in the Fleury-la-Rivière area. Thibault Legrand returned to the family business in the 2000s and, over time, transformed the property by abandoning herbicide use and converting operations to organic and biodynamic methods; the "Cave aux Coquillages," created by his father Patrice, has also become a visitor space and the base for bottle ageing. The first documented sales of cuvées vinified in-house date from 2021.

Production philosophy

Geo-oenological approach: foregrounding the expression of the subsoil and its varied stratigraphy. Low-intervention vineyard work, spontaneous fermentations, limited use of sulfites, and winemaking focused on minimal manipulation to convey the terroir's minerality.

Terroir and vineyards

Vallée de la Marne — vineyards located primarily in Fleury-la-Rivière, with parcels also in Vandières and Verneuil; soils rich in fossil deposits that influence the wines' character and salinity.
