Discover the story, territory and wines of Manincor.
A historic winery based in San Giuseppe al Lago (Caldaro/Kaltern, Alto Adige). Run by the Goëss‑Enzenberg family, it cultivates around 50 hectares and practices biodynamic viticulture; it produces white and red wines across various levels, with labels such as Cassiano, Mason and La Manina.
The estate’s historic buildings date back to 1608, when Hieronymus Manincor had the manor house built on Lago di Caldaro. The property later passed to the Counts Enzenberg; in 1991 Michael Graf Goëss‑Enzenberg took over the estate and began a quality-driven transformation of the vineyards. The first wines bottled at the estate were released in 1996 and, following expansion, the new underground cellar designed by Walter Angonese and Rainer Köberl was inaugurated in 2004.
Production philosophy
The estate declares a careful approach to biodiversity and soil vitality: near‑natural farming practices, low yields and hand‑tending of the grapes. Since 2005 management has been guided by biodynamic principles; in the cellar interventions are measured to preserve the character of the terroir and of the individual grape varieties.
Terroir and vineyards
The vineyards are located around Lago di Caldaro and span various exposures and elevations. The estate's sites include classic parcels of the Caldaro area with varied soils that allow the cultivation of native and international grape varieties.
