Winery history Distilleria Montanaro

The origins date back to Gallo d'Alba, where a master distiller introduced the production of the first local single-varietal grappa, the Grappa di Barolo, in 1885. Over the decades the business has remained rooted in traditional methods and craftsmanship, maintaining the use of small steam stills and a rigorous selection of pomace.

Production philosophy

The distillery relies on tradition, artisanal expertise and the selection of the finest grape pomace: it preserves time-honoured methods, direct oversight by master distillers and respect for the raw material to extract unique aromas and flavours.
