Winery history Niklaserhof (Weingut Niklas)

The estate is run by the Sölva family and boasts multiple generations dedicated to viticulture. In its current form the winery was established by Josef Sölva; today management is handled by Dieter Sölva, with the new generation already active in production and sales. The estate sells directly at the winery and part of the production is exported.

Production philosophy

The approach is based on respect for the land and the care of individual vineyards: a balance between local tradition and technical innovation in the winery, prioritizing quality and the expression of each parcel's terroir.

Terroir and vineyards

Situated above Lago di Caldaro at the foot of the Mendola group, the winery works vineyards scattered across the best exposures of the Caldaro/Kaltern area. The climate is characterized by a strong diurnal temperature range that enhances the expressiveness of the local varieties.
