Winery history Pieri Agostina

The company's origins date back to the family vineyards established in the 1970s; the winery's current path took shape in 1991 with Agostina Pieri and later under the management of the new generation. The first official production took place in the early 1990s, and the winery has since grown into a small but well-regarded presence within the Montalcino appellation.

Production philosophy

Production focused on respect for the territory and Sangiovese: hand-harvested fruit, careful grape selection and cellar work designed to convey concentration and finesse. The winery treats Rosso di Montalcino with the same care as Brunello, favoring gentle extraction and aging in large casks and used oak when necessary.

Terroir and vineyards

Based in Piancornello, on the southern slopes of the Montalcino area. The vineyards are divided into south-facing parcels overlooking the Maremma and Monte Amiata.

Awards and recognitions

Among its notable accolades, one vintage of the winery's Rosso di Montalcino earned Gambero Rosso's "Tre Bicchieri" rating; the winery is also mentioned in international guides and magazines.
