Winery Domänenweingut Schloss Schönborn

The wine estate has been linked to the Schönborn family, with documents confirming the presence of vineyards as early as 1349. Over the centuries the estate remained in the family’s hands and today stands as one of the most traditional estates in the Rheingau, having undergone infrastructure upgrades and investments in the winery in recent years.

To preserve and enhance the great vineyard sites of the Rheingau by combining tradition and modernization, the estate focuses primarily on terroir-driven Riesling, integrating vineyard work and cellar technology to express the individual parcels.

Located in the Rheingau, the estate manages vineyards situated along the stretch from Rüdesheim to Hochheim. The parcels include recognized sites in the region, and the production reflects the typical terroir of the Rhine banks.
