Winery history Cantina Terracruda

Terracruda was founded as a recent rural venture born from the union of local partners with the aim of enhancing the hills of the Marche. The estate controls the supply chain from vineyard to bottle and has dedicated itself to the recovery of ancient local varieties; the technical team includes winemaker Giancarlo Soverchia, mentioned in the company brochures. The vineyards are situated around Fratte Rosa, a short distance from Urbino and the Adriatic Sea.

Production philosophy

The company's approach emphasizes the protection of the land, traceability and the enhancement of native grape varieties. Terracruda promotes sustainable practices and produces organic wines, and is also committed to the rediscovery of nearly extinct grapes such as Incrocio Bruni 54 and Garofanata.

Terroir and vineyards

Located on the hills of Fratte Rosa, in the province of Pesaro e Urbino, the estate sits in a viticultural area between Montefeltro and the Adriatic at about 400 m above sea level, where local DOCs such as Bianchello del Metauro, Colli Pesaresi Sangiovese and Pergola Aleatico are produced.

Awards and recognitions

International medals and, among institutional recognitions, the "Angelo Betti Benemeriti della Vitivinicoltura" award presented at Vinitaly.
