Winery Villa Chiopris

Villa Chiopris is a historic villa surrounded by vineyards that, after a varied history, was acquired and brought back into management by the Livon group in the 1990s. Following restoration, the building resumed its role as an inn and guesthouse and as a venue for tastings and events, integrating its hospitality offerings with the wine production of the surrounding vineyards.

The production approach focuses on enhancing indigenous grape varieties and the terroirs of Friuli; management is part of the broader Aziende Agricole Livon project, which aims to respect tradition and the area's characteristics in cultivation and winemaking.

The estate is located in the Grave del Friuli area, with vineyards in the municipalities of Chiopris-Viscone and San Giovanni al Natisone. The soils are described as alluvial and gravelly, typical of the Grave, well suited to the cultivation of aromatic white grape varieties and benefiting from a pronounced diurnal temperature range.
