Barcelò & Co was born from the story of a passion of a young man, who with the desire to create his own product set out to make his dream come true.

This story begins in 1929 when the young Majorcan Julián Barceló left for the Dominican Republic, driven by a passion for spirits and eager to create his own: the young man toured the island far and wide, in his old van and promoted the his Ron.

Word soon spread and, in 1930, Barceló & Co was founded, which achieved real success in 1950. In 1974 Julián left the business legacy to his nephew Miguel who, in 1980, launched the Ron Barceló, the Premium Rum of the Dominicans. Right from the start, this distillate has established itself as a leader in its segment and, today, it is present in over 50 countries around the world with its varieties.
