The history of the Maison Schoröder & Schÿler has very ancient origins. We are in fact in the heart of the Seven Years War where France opposed England from 1756 to 1763. Trade between France and the West Indies begins to get complicated; that's why Schröder & Schÿler decides to buy a frigate to continue to supply spices, indigo and other products.

The story continues and the problems show no sign of abating. Passing through the storming of the Bastille at the time of the French Revolution, suspected of complicity with the royals, the four leaders of Schröder & Schÿler soon find themselves imprisoned and sentenced to the gallows. Fortunately Lacombe, chairman of the Bordeaux military commission, orders that they be released and the fate of the company can thus continue.

We arrive at 1870, when it charges of wine in barrels coming from the just classified grands crus, ships set sail for the East Indies. This is how the Schröder & Schÿler wine brand "Return from the Indies" was born.

June 2, 1883 Henry Schÿler, fourth generation, leaves Liverpool and sets out to conquer new markets. The period is not the best, on his arrival in New York he will have to collide with prohibition. His return will not be long, and after 6 months Henry, on December 31, 1883, returned to England.

Here we are at the beginning of the 20th century, a period that marks the apex of the wonderful history Schröder and Schÿler, a Maison still noteworthy today and renamed worldwide.
