Taittinger House

The Taittinger brand comes to life in 1932, one of the most famous and appreciated Maison of Champagne. Pierre Taittinger was first cavalry officer in the French army, and was also a great lover of gastronomy and bubbles. It was during the Great War that they informed him of the sale of the lands, as soon as he saw them he fell madly in love with the wonderful vineyards so much that he decided to buy it immediately and devote himself entirely to the production of high quality bubbles.

The Maison Taittinger was built on the ruins of the Saint Nicase abbey in the 13th century, near the city of Reims. Since 2006 it has been followed by the third generation, Pierre-Emmanuel and his sons Clovis and Vitalie, a family with a long tradition behind it, the result of constant commitment. Taittinger Maison is one of the most historic and largest Champagne Houses, a symbol of class and a point of reference for the region, with an excellent production appreciated all over the world that interprets the long family tradition in a modern key.

A company famous for its particular and historic underground cellars, obtained from limestone quarries from the Gallo-Roman era, where the wines are found in a perfect climate and rest for a long time on their lees. The whole chain of winemaking and maturation processes are carefully followed by the great Chef de Cave Loic Dupontil, who has been taking care of the Maison for about 30 years, expertly assembling the best cuvées to give life to large bubbles.

The grapes used for production come from the 288 hectares of owned vineyards, divided into 34 crus with Pinot Noir (48%), Pinot Meunier (15%) vines and the distinctive symbol of the Cuvèe: Chardonnay (37%), which is part of the assembly of the much appreciated Comtes de Champagne.

Taittinger labels possess prestige and luxury, the purest expression of the terroir of origin, and rightfully enter the elite of the great Champagnes. A line with great limited editions, prestigious vintages and reserves.
