Distillation and production

Production method

The range includes distillates obtained according to the "Metodo Da Ponte"; for some grappe a discontinuous vacuum pot still is used. Liqueurs such as Amaro 33 are produced by infusions (including cold infusion) in select batches of aged Prosecco grappa, followed by the addition of extracts, essential oils and sweetening according to proprietary recipes.

Distillation

Metodo Da Ponte; use of the house's proprietary distillation method. For some grappas a discontinuous vacuum pot still is employed (mentioned by the official source).

Ageing

Aging in Limousin oak barriques and in oak casks (including Slavonian oak); variable maturations for aged grappas.

Producer history Andrea Da Ponte

Da Ponte is a family-run company active since 1892. During the 20th century the distillery developed the so-called "Metodo Da Ponte" and introduced distinctive products such as the Vecchia Grappa di Prosecco (first produced in 1969) and several aged grappe. The house boasts a long tradition in distilling the pomace of the Prosecco area and has also established itself on the liqueur market, including Amaro 33 allo Zenzero.

Production philosophy

Focus on quality and protection of original varietal aromas, attention to environmental sustainability and technological innovation. The company declares the use of low-impact technologies (biomass, photovoltaic system, heat recovery) while maintaining artisanal processes and analytical control of aromatic profiles.

Territory

Colli di Conegliano (Corbanese di Tarzo), an area historically linked to Prosecco production, in the province of Treviso, Veneto.

Awards and recognitions

Gold medal and three bronze medals at The WineHunter Award 2023 (reported by the company).
