The Caorunn brand was created in 2009 and put into production at Balmenach (Speyside) under the management of Inver House / International Beverage. The first production originated from trials carried out on the distillery site by converting a room where an original 'Copper Berry Chamber' dating back to the 1920s was installed; locally foraged botanicals around the site played a central role in the initial recipe.

Seeking a local, recognisable character: Caorunn highlights locally gathered Celtic botanicals, small-batch production and gentle extraction methods to achieve elegance and aromatic complexity.
