Production method

Small-batch production from 100% first-press cane juice; controlled fermentation and distillation in a copper still imported from France; for flavored editions botanicals are steam-infused during distillation. Products rest prior to bottling (minimum rest time indicated by the producer).

Producer history Chalong Bay

Founded by French entrepreneurs Marine Lucchini and Thibault Spithakis, Chalong Bay began on-site production in Phuket in the early 2010s. The project combines French distillation techniques (an imported copper Armagnac-style still) with local raw material: indigenous Thai cane varieties harvested by hand and pressed at first-press.

Production philosophy

Focus on purity and terroir expression: using exclusively first-press cane juice, sustainable local agricultural practices (canes grown without chemical fertilizers and hand-harvested) and small-batch artisanal production with manual labeling and respect for the local supply chain.
