Production method

Production is based on grapes sourced from the Langhe (purchased and in collaboration with local growers), low-intervention vinifications (whole-cluster, native yeasts, no fining/filtration when indicated). Aromatized preparations (e.g. Vino Chinato/vermouth) are produced by infusing herbs and spices into a wine base with the addition of sugar and alcohol according to Piedmontese tradition.

Producer history DWNL

DWNL was founded in 2019 as the project of Alessandro Salvano, an enologist trained in Alba and raised in a winemaking family. The initiative began with purchased grapes in collaboration with local growers (including the Montelupo Albese family nucleus) and developed by entrusting vinifications and aging to cellar facilities in the area, maintaining a low-intervention approach.

Production philosophy

The 'Drink Wines Not Labels' philosophy aims to value wine beyond label and denomination conventions, prioritizing pleasure, territorial identity and low-intervention techniques (native yeast fermentations, whole-cluster vinification, limited cellar interventions). It also produces aromatized preparations obtained by infusion following traditional Piedmontese recipes.
