Ageing

Producer history Elements of Islay

Elements of Islay started as a range focused on Islay whiskies developed by the British company now known as Elixir Distillers (formerly Speciality Drinks). According to the parent company the line was launched in 2008 as a way to showcase the different personalities of Islay malts; the family behind the group has ties to The Whisky Exchange and a long history of independent selection and bottling.

Production philosophy

The brand follows a blender/bottler approach: selecting and combining elements (spirits) from the different coasts of Islay to represent the island's broad spectrum of styles — from the lighter, fruitier notes of the north to the heavier, more peaty expressions of the south. Bottlings aim to deliver character and authenticity of Islay terroir.
