Production method

Patented 'Distillerie Franciacorta Method®': first steam distillation to obtain the flemma, cooling of the flemma, double filtration to remove impurities, then a second distillation phase (double distillation) with selection of the 'heart' of the spirit and discard of heads and tails. For aged productions, resting in small wooden barrels is used.

Distillation

Double distillation with a first steam phase to obtain the flemma, cooling and double filtration of the flemma before the second distillation; heads and tails are discarded to keep only the heart of the spirit.

Ageing

For grappas intended for ageing small wooden barrels (barrique) are used with resting periods starting from 12 months; there are references to reserves with longer ageing (e.g. 24 months in double barrique).

Family-run company linked to the Gozio family, with a distilling tradition the company traces back to 1901. Over time it has specialised in processing the vinacce of the Franciacorta area and producing a range of grappa, distillates and liqueurs.
