Production method

Selection of ciders made from Pays d’Auge cider apples; distillation carried out between November and March at the Sainte-Foy-de-Montgommery distillery; use of both continuous distillation (column still, for calvados) and double distillation in pot stills (for Calvados Pays d’Auge); aging and blending in oak casks under the supervision of the maître de chai.

Producer history Père Magloire

The brand is named after Dominique Magloire, a Norman innkeeper renowned for his calvados. Founded in 1821, it became one of the leading Calvados brands in France by the early 20th century. Over the years the brand changed ownership several times (including 20th-century acquisitions) and was acquired by Spirit France in 2007. In 2021 Père Magloire celebrated its 200th anniversary.
