The Barbaresco DOCG Asili Riserva of Cà del Baio is a fine example of Piedmontese excellence, produced in the historic Asili area, in the municipality of Neive. This cru, cultivated with selected Nebbiolo grapes, fully expresses the unique character of the Barbaresco territory, where the calcareous-clay soil gives the clusters a distinctive minerality and vigor.

The aging is carried out with meticulous care, usually extended in large oak barrels that allow slow oxygenation, thus enhancing the elegant aromatic and tannic notes of the grape variety. The result is a rich and complex wine, with a lively garnet red color, intense aromas of withered rose, red fruits, spices, and light hints of leather and tobacco. On the palate, it is enveloping, with silky tannins and a balanced freshness that guarantees excellent longevity.

Perfect paired with red meats, game, and aged cheeses, this Barbaresco Riserva reflects the winemaking tradition of Cà del Baio, conveying elegance and character in every sip.

Family-run winery Based in Treiso, with vineyards in the Barbaresco crus. Adherence to the principles of the Green Experience project for sustainable viticulture Use of native yeasts and limited use of sulfites in the cellar.
Winery history
The Grasso family has been connected to these hills for generations: Giuseppe Grasso's arrival in Treiso is documented in 1870, and in the following decades the family progressively selected and vinified individual parcels. In the 1980s and 2000s the winery refined the separation of grapes by cru, and in 2008 introduced experiments with Riesling. The revival and modern visibility of the winery are linked to the work of Giulio Grasso, and today management also involves the family's daughters.
Production philosophy
It favors a sustainable approach to viticulture, eliminating chemical weed control, using cover crops, and prioritizing biodiversity and soil conservation. In the cellar, fermentations with indigenous yeasts are encouraged and the use of sulfites is limited to preserve the character of the vintages and their ageing potential.
Terroir and vineyards
The estate and most of its vineyards are located in Treiso, near Barbaresco and not far from Neive. The estate's vineyards fall within historic crus such as Vallegrande, Asili, Pora, Marcarini, Ferrere and Trestelle; the soils are typically calcareous marls that characterize the Barbaresco area.
Awards and recognitions
Giulio Grasso was named "Winemaker of the Year" by the Gambero Rosso guide.
