Baron Edmond - Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons represents the excellence and fusion of two historic wine worlds, testifying to the common commitment of two legendary families in the world of wine: the Ruperts of South Africa and the Rothschilds of France. This wine is a collaboration between Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons, a joint venture combining European winemaking tradition with the innovation and unique terroir of South Africa, located in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley.

Baron Edmond is a premium red blend, which expresses the vision and production philosophy of Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons, focusing on quality, elegance and complexity. This wine is dedicated to Edmond de Rothschild and reflects the winery's commitment to creating world-class wines that can compete with the best global wines, while maintaining a deep connection to the territory of production.

Made mainly with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes, Baron Edmond is vinified with the utmost attention and care, following methods that emphasize the expression of the fruit and the structure of the wine. The refinement in French oak barriques adds complexity and depth to the aromatic and taste profile, without overpowering the varietal characteristics.

At sight, the wine has an intense and deep red color. On the nose, it offers a rich and complex bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits, sweet spices, chocolate and a light touch of vanilla and tobacco, the result of the elegant passage in wood. In the mouth, Baron Edmond reveals a solid and harmonious structure, with soft and well-integrated tannins that support a rich and enveloping palate, leading to a long and persistent finish.

Ideal for accompanying red meat dishes, game and mature cheeses, Baron Edmond by Rupert & Rothschild Vignerons is also a meditation wine, which benefits from further aging in the bottle, revealing its richness and complexity over time.
