In the glass the Bellussi Piave DOC Raboso Autentico 2003 immediately reveals its character: compact body, ripe aromas and a texture that speaks of time. The scent moves between dark fruit and forest-floor notes, with tertiary hints of leather and delicate spices that do not overpower the fruit component. It’s a wine that recalls the elegant rusticity of Raboso but with a new restraint — more composed and sensibly balanced.

On the palate it confirms a solid but not heavy structure: the still-present acidity supports the sip and the tannins are more polished than aggressive, contributing to a pleasant persistence. Perfect if decanted patiently, it finds a natural companion in flavorful dishes such as braised meats, game or aged cheeses; it is best appreciated at around 16-18 °C. An example of longevity that speaks of a balance between strength and finesse, ideal for those seeking a mature wine with personality and the ability to accompany intense foods.
