Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Sugarile produced by Pieve Santa Restituta, Gaja brand, embodies the excellence of the Tuscan territory, one of the most renowned crus of Montalcino. This wine is made exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso grapes, grown on clay-limestone soils that provide structure and minerality. The vinification is carried out with meticulous care, followed by aging in oak barrels that impart complexity and softness to the bouquet.
In the glass, it presents an intense ruby red color, accompanied by enveloping aromas of ripe red fruits, spicy notes, and hints of tobacco and cocoa. The palate is rich and refined, with elegant and well-integrated tannins that support a long persistent finish.
Perfect with red meat dishes, game, or aged cheeses, this Brunello strongly expresses the identity of its territory, inviting you to experience the tradition and mastery of Gaja in magnum bottle, ideal for optimal storage and moments of great conviviality.

The story
Pieve Santa Restituta winery was founded by Roberto Bellini in 1974; in 1994 the estate was acquired by the Gaja family. The name comes from the ancient pieve at the centre of the estate, whose historical traces are very old and whose grounds have been cultivated with vines for centuries.
Production philosophy
Management focused on soil care and the protection of ampelographic heritage: vineyard restoration, use of compost to enhance soil fertility, and careful preservation of older vines. Production emphasizes Sangiovese, in keeping with the territorial characteristics of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG.
Terroir and vineyards
Situated in the municipality of Montalcino, with vineyards on Eocene-origin hills facing south and southwest; at an altitude of approximately 320–350 metres above sea level. The area lies within the Brunello di Montalcino appellation, on the southwest side of the DOCG.
