Tenuta Fertuna's Celeo IGT is a red wine that represents a distinctive expression of the Tuscan territory, reflecting the estate's passion and commitment to producing high-quality wines. Located in the Tuscan Maremma, an area known for its natural beauty and the richness of its winemaking heritage, Tenuta Fertuna takes advantage of a particularly favorable terroir, which allows it to cultivate grape varieties capable of fully expressing their identity and complexity.

Celeo is an IGT (Typical Geographical Indication), a classification that offers producers the flexibility to experiment with grape varieties and winemaking techniques, in order to create unique and innovative wines. This wine is the result of a careful blend of traditional and international varieties, which may include Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, combining Tuscan tradition with a more modern and global approach to winemaking.

The result is a wine with a deep and brilliant red colour, which on the nose offers an intense aromatic range characterized by notes of ripe red and black fruits, enriched by nuances of spices, chocolate and a light wood grain, the result of refinement in barriques. These components integrate perfectly, creating a complex and inviting olfactory profile.

In the mouth, Tenuta Fertuna's Celeo IGT reveals itself to be rich and structured, with an excellent balance between soft and ripe tannins and a lively acidity that gives freshness to the sip. Ripe fruit flavors blend with toasted and spicy notes, leading to a long and persistent finish that leaves a pleasant sensation of warmth and complexity.

Ideal in combination with robust dishes of Tuscan and Mediterranean cuisine, such as roasts, game and mature cheeses, Celeo IGT is a wine that stands out for its gastronomic versatility, capable of accompanying and enhancing a variety of flavours.

Winery history
The modern project of Tenuta Fertuna began in the 1990s with the planting of the vineyards in 1997; the property developed on an estate featuring an early 20th-century villa, renovated and also converted into guest accommodation. Over the years the winery has complemented its wine production with wine tourism and dining activities, integrating business management and sustainability principles.
Production philosophy
It combines respect for local tradition with modern technology: plots are chosen based on soil and grape variety, winemaking is carried out plot by plot with temperature control, and aging in tonneaux/barriques. The estate declares an approach to sustainability and practices aimed at reducing its environmental impact.
