The Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG from Sofia Ricasoli is a red wine with character, suited to everyday meals and more formal occasions. In the glass it shows an intense colour; on the nose it opens with aromas reminiscent of ripe red fruit and spicy hints, with a discreet earthy undertone. The palate is balanced, with lively but well-integrated tannins and good persistence, leaving room for fruity returns and a subtle salty finish.

It pairs well with tomato-based dishes, roasted meats and aged cheeses, as well as hearty Italian cuisine. It is recommended to serve it at a moderate temperature and to open it some time before drinking to appreciate its aromatic development; it is suitable both for those seeking immediacy and for those preferring more structured gastronomic pairings. It can evolve pleasantly in bottle.
